• Welcome to the webpage of Lisa Ammar-Khodja!  I am currently the speech pathologist for East Lycoming School District.  If you ever have any questions about links or information on this site, please do not hesitate to contact me at the following e-mail address:  lammar@elsd.org.

I have been a speech language pathologist since 1994 when I graduated with a B.S in Speech/Language Pathology from Ithaca College, New York.  I went back to school a few years later and received my masters degree in Speech/Language Pathology from Appalachian State University, NC.  I currently hold a teaching certificate K-12 for speech therapy, a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), a PA state license to practice Speech Pathology, and am a long time member of A.S.H.A. (American Speech and Hearing Association.)  East Lycoming School District prides itself in encouraging and enabling its staff to continue professional development in their field which I take advantage of every year.  Throughout the school year if there are events or workshops that would be beneficial for parents I will provide as much information as possible on the calendar to the left.

As a speech pathologist, I encourage parents to interact every day with their children: read, play make believe, ask questions, model good language and articulation and be a good listener.  I am a staunch supporter of early intervention, and many times that early intervention is through parents' interactions with their children.

I look forward to working with your child, providing you with information and being a part of your child's development.  I consider myself a resource for ALL teachers and parents, even if I don't provide direct services to one of your children/students.  Please don't hesitate to contact me through Ashkar where I have voice mail: 584-5121, extension 308, or lammar@elsd.org.
Thanks for visiting my website and have an awesome school year!

    Lisa Ammar-Khodja, CCC-SLP, M.A.
