Hello Families!

My name is Stacie Kilgore and I am so excited to be your child’s First Grade Teacher for the remained of this year at Renn!

For those of you who do not already know me, let me start by telling you a little bit about myself. I am a Certified K-6 Teacher with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Lycoming College. I also have School Counseling credits from the College of New Jersey. After graduating from Lycoming College I taught kindergarten, 1st, and 5th grades.

In 2003 I decided to stop teaching and be a stay at home mom. I have 2 wonderful children, Coleton and Kylie. I loved my time at home with my children, but they are growing up fast! Once Kylie started kindergarten I started back to work teaching pre-kindergarten.

After spending 3 years teaching pre-kindergarten I moved on to Central Bucks School District teaching 1st and 2nd grade math intervention and working with a special needs student in kindergarten. After moving to Hughesville I worked as a full year long term substitute in Loyalsock School District teaching kindergarten.

For the last year and a half I have been working as Renn’s Title I Reading Interventionist. I have the unique opportunity of already knowing your children from either working with them or hanging out on the playground together.

I will work hard to make this a comfortable transition and to help continue your child’s success in first grade. Communication is very important to me, and I look forward to getting to know you the parents as well. Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions or concerns.

Yes I love animals! We have horses, chickens, a cat, and a 9 month old puppy (I will post a picture of him soon).
Here are our horses Trouble (who is a very good boy despite his name) and Baron (the big boss) coming to say Hi!  Next is Coleton, Kylie, a couple of chickens, and Turuk. Turuk was our first family dog, sadly he passed away in June.
