THE IMPORTANCE OF HIGH SCHOOL ART

    Children learn through their senses.  The ability to develop these senses through art is an essential part of a student's growth; both socially and emotionally.  The development of the senses; such as learning to see, feel, create, etc., is an important part of the total education system.  For many students artistic development provides a greater opportunity for learning.  Exploring, investigation, expressing and creating provides a means for self-expression for a child.  It  provides asethtic growth, which strenghthens self-confidence.  The element of self-confidence is the greatest gift I can give a student.
